Any fans? Currently working my way through the box set at the moment and it's fantastic. Coltrane is perfect in the role, a young Christopher Ecclestone shines as well.

Robert Caryle gives a career best performance in one episode. Nicely priced at 35 euro in Golden Discs. 11 full length eps:cool:

yeah fan here. Used to love the childish, drunken rows that he had with the missus. Kind of get reminiscent of the ex missus when I watch..

This was a series that I always wanted to get into. I only ever saw one or two episodes, but thought that everything about it was fantastic; the acting, the writing... everything. Might see if I can pick up a boxset tomorrow (now that I know they are available!!!)

Coltrane is a legend too! Valentin Zukovsky, Hagrid, Cracker, the mad dude in Ocean's Twelve who only spoke in riddles, the rougher one in Nuns On The Run........... priceless!

Picked up the entire series of Cracker there a few days ago for €29.99 (reduced from €199.99!!!!!!) in HMV and I've been working my way through the episodes. Bloody fantastic stuff!!!! One of the best series to come out of England for a long time. Shame there were so few episodes.

Finished the box set, some of the most grim but brilliant tv I've ever seen.

Great series. A pity about the 2004 episode not great and the episode based in Hong Kong. Other than that a very good series.

I haven't see Panhandle in anything since.

A truly great series. Grim, gritty and thoroughly enthralling stuff. Loved every minute of it, especially the episodes with Robert Carlyle. He gives the performance of a lifetime in them and they are truly unforgettable.
