itunes problem

i have all my music stored on an external hard drive, when i bring them into itunes they worked fine and i have to have my hard drive plugged in the same usb port. all this is fine and has always worked. until now, now when i want to play anything it says i have to locate it, the little "i" on the grey circle. has anyone…

I think if you click on a track and see the original location of it, it will show you what the name of the drive was. Haven't got iTunes in front of me right now but it should be something along those lines. Show location, properties or something like that.
