I'm about to buy my 1st car (secondhand) and have a couple of questionns. Are all the prices I see advertised by dealers on sites like carzone trade in prices? If so does that mean if I'm paying cash only I will a discount?

Is it possible to haggle with a typical dealer on their advertised price and if so what kind of percentage should I be looking to get them to knock off?

Always haggle, regardless of what price is quoted, you have nothing to lose.

I bought a car last October, advertised for 14,999 and without trade in got it down to 11,000.

Have someone with you when looking at cars, someone who knows their cars and who won't be baffled by sales talk. If you're on your own and don't have a clue then they will spot this a mile off.
