Not sure if this is the right place.

I have tv upstairs with an indoor ariel and good picture. Ariel will not work downstairs. Can I use a video sender to send the signal to the one downstairs?

Can anyone recommend such a videosender. I would like one where I can change channel downstairs

Nearly all of them will allow you to change channel. The problem you may have is that most, if not all, have SCART or component (or some maybe s-video) inputs/outputs, which means you would have to route the aerial through something that will convert the signal from RF to whatever input is on the videosender, something like a converter box or video/dvd recorder.

No aerial connection downstairs, that perhaps terminates in the attic?

What are you using upstairs DTT or analogue ? Wither way just plug the aerial in upstairs into the RF in on an old Video recorder and run a load of cable from the RF output to your Tv downstairs. Alternatively stick an aerial on your roof!

Or just get a small signal booster.
