    Hey guys

Hoping someone can help, feel like an idiot but I made a mess of my i-tunes account. I recently started using my Ipod again (having to commute etc) and connected it to a new laptop, it then prompted me about not being the computer that it was tied to but I just said sync anyway (stupid I know). Anyway, somehow I know have none of my music in the new laptop and the itunes on the laptop has no music.

How do I get my purchased music onto the new Itunes? Obviously I'll have to copy all my cd's etc again wont I?

Trying to read through the Apple help topics is like pulling teeth, its the most unhelpful ever. Google and Youtube aren't yielding quick fixes either.

    Thanks in advance.

If you don't have access to the old Laptop that had your full library, if all the music was on the ipod but you have now synced and if none of the music is on the new laptop then then answer is Yes, you are f**ked. .

There are ways to move the music off the ipod onto the new laptop but if you have already synced then it is too late !

Do you not still have access to the old laptop ?

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I dont have access to that laptop, its broke and gone months.

Sh!t though, I had a feeling that this was the case. The message came up and I just didn't think about it and hit ok. I forgot how anal Apple are about piracy etc. F*ck!!

Surely there must be a way of at least getting my purchases downloaded again onto my new itunes. I've not authorised this new laptop and its only the 2nd out of 5. I can also go into my account and see all the purchases sitting there but I dont see an option to download them again. Surely there must be one?

You have to contact apple customer services and explain your problem to them. Apparently, they have an internal policy of allowing a re-download once.

Have a look at this forum:

    And best of luck.

Thanks for the replies guys. Sweet Jesus though, you would think that its something could happen a lot more frequently. It seems like an awful lot of hassle to get them back.

    Thanks again though.

Did you try and download any of your purchased tracks again ? . . I know if I download an app that I have already purchased itunes recognises that I have already paid for it and doesn't charge me again . . I think it may do the same for music if you try to buy it again from the same itunes account . . give it a go with one track and see what happens.
