playing media files(videos) through the Xbox360

    First we dont understand text speak its for 12 year olds and their phones:D

    Anyways I assume you mean your portable hard drive for your computer?
    If thats the case then you need to have your xbox connected to xbox live to download the media update to allow you to play most videos.
    However the xbox will not play .mkv files.
    Also the Hard Drive must be either formatted or partitioned to ntfs

    Just plug it in to the USB ports on either the front or back, download the update and you're sorted for most file types (as said above mkvs don't work.) I couldn't get any of the USB powered HDs to work that I tried beyond a USB stick but externally powered drives definitely work.
