Can I manually wind up my electric car window?

    Hey folks,
Looking for a bit of advice. For some unknown reason, the electric driver's window on my Fiesta decided to stay put fully down yesterday, and I've had to leave it that way all night. If I take off the interior door panel, am I able to wind it up manually from within the door, or push it all the way up? I don't know what's gone wrong with it yet, and don't really have the cash to investigate or repair it just yet, so I'd rather just have it not working at all, and fully closed.

    Any and all info appreciated,
    WP.

Is it making any sound at all? If not, first thing i'd do is check the fuse, followed by the switch - you can plug in the pass. window switch and see if that works. If neither of those works then you can raise the window with the door card off, but it might involve jamming it shut with a piece of wood or the like. I'd be inclined to sort it out, though - not being able to open the drivers window is a right PITA in normal driving.

The fuses were all fine. I took off the door panel this evening to lift up the window and wedge a piece of wood under, but strangely when I took the panel off, the thing started working again. So I put the window back up, replaced everything, hopped in the car again, and... it wouldn't work again.
The switch or connection may be a bit dodgy, which will need a look/replacement, but at least it's not as urgent as it had been.
