    Hi Condi,

A quick glance at your data looks okay to me. There's an oddity in how Mapnik handles coastlines, in that the coastline data is separate and processed "every few weeks" unlike the rest of the data: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Coastline#Main_Mapnik_Layer

I think you just need to wait!

Oh, and welcome to OSM! Always nice to see more contributors :)

I've sometimes been surprised as how quickly my updates appear on the map, but don't worry about how one or other of the maps actually appears. It's all about making the data correct, how the renderers then convert that data to a readable map is another issue entirely and you should not adjust the data to fit what the renderer does.

It's surprising how quick the changes start to appear alright. Made a couple of very small edit last night and they had started to appear in some tiles almost before I'd got round to closing JOSM down.

Mapnik used (and still is) to be rendered on a weekly basis. Osamender tile were usually rendered within an hour.

Most Mapnik tiles are usually rendered within a few minutes now. (As already discussed coastlines are rendered on a more adhoc basis though).

But here's a trick you can use to see the freshness of a tile and even get it re-rendered:

On the map select the tile you want to examine - ie in Firefox rightclick and select view image.

To check the status of the tile append 'status':

To force a re-render you can mark the tile dirty:
