Enterprise Board EBusiness Support

    Hi all,

I've been approached by someone looking for a website for their business. They are applying for an ebusiness support grant from our local enterprise board and have asked me to fill out the relevant forms for the website grant. As this is my first time even seeing such a form I would appreciate any advice anyone could offer me.

Basically I need to fill in what the objectives of the site are, which seems simple enough, to allow new and existing customers to see the products the business offers and to allow the business to expand into further counties through its internet presence. I would imagine that is an acceptable answer!

I also need to fill in the prices, domain registration which I already have, site design costs, software purchase and consultant advice. My questions are, for domain registration do i just put in the yearly price? I will be providing hosting which I have a set yearly charge for, under what section would I include this?

I also need to fill out a website marketing strategy. I plan on using an adwords driven campaign as well as using facebook and twitter, and some free generic advertising. Is mentioning these enough or do I need to go into detail about why I am choosing these types of advertising?

I would appreciate any advice or help anyone could give me especially anyone who might have successfully filled out this type of form before

Surely its not up to you to fill out this form but the applicant?

Would completely agree - this is definitely something your client should be filling in and not you.

    Thanks for your feedback guys,

Went back to my client with the concerns you raised and it appeared that there had actually been a bit of miscommunication between us and what i had mentioned was not what he was looking for. He was infact looking for a break down of prices and explanation of some of the more technical aspects of the site development.

    thanks again
