my axiom 49 is not mapping to my pro tools 8

    i need help ever one my axiom 49 key is not speakin to my pro tools and iv been trough i dont know how many tutorials on youtube on mapping etc , i done loaded the enigma software but that isnt working eother
    al i want to do is record my soft synths with my axiom and use the fasders etc but i head is getting melted and im ready to through it out the window lol

    and if anyone could me help that would be great

    Don't know much about Axioms, just read there in a magazine that the Axiom Pro automatically maps to PT8 by going to the peripherals menu and by adding it from the midi controller tab. Not sure about the Axiom though. :confused:

    lol oh how I hate that old feeling when you just want to smash the stupid computer. Get a mac and be done with it.

    Have you created an instrument track and inserted a synthesizer of some sort on it? have you armed the record on the insert? Midi only plays when the track is armed. You may have tried this already. Have you lights on the keyboard? If it is plugged in and there is no lights bring it back.

    ye i went into the mix window and inserted the plug in (synth) armed the track for record in both the edit and mix window but still nothing is happening and yes there is lights on the axiom

    Make sure to reset the keyboard to its default setup if that is possible then load up pro tools and give it a bash.

    Turning on with + and - is a factory reset, so you need to reload the defaults from Enigma again.

    In Enigma drag and drop the Axiom 49 Defaults onto USB Axiom 49 Memory (in the top left pane), that should automatically upload them the to the Axiom (SYS should flash on the LCD as it uploads).
