R4i SDHC in DsiXl?

    Has anyone tried to use a R4i card in the Dsi Xl yet.

    I doubt that card will work at all in the dsi xl. god thats a mouth ful.

    Im not sure is there cards out that will play in it anyway yet,

    but just be sure your not buying a fake card now.

    check reviews on other site to make sure what your buying is real.

    ps: meant to say ever time nintendo realease a new dsi its too stop piracy so the answer is no the card will not work.

    I got the Dsi XL today and tried the R4i - no luck
    Got the error message - please press the off button.
    What now?? Any ideas?

    Sure you have it formatted correctly?

    Other websites state that it should work :

    Think so - it's working fine on the DSi but not on the XL.
    Maybe it will need a newer card?
    I'll wait a while & see what the verdict is when more people have them

    if the cards work for some people but not for u could be the software . make sure u update it first and if it still doesnt work it may be an outdated card . but i didnt know there where so many different models

    Had to buy the upgraded R4i card with the yellow flash on it and it's all working fine now.

    R4 has just released a great new card: the R4i DSi LL. It is designed specifically for the XL, but has compatibility with all DS models. You can buy it on this website, one of the only sites I could find: www.r4card-mania.co.uk

    99% of all R4 cards you will find on the Internet are fakes. There is only one genuine R4 card out there and its only compatible with the DS fat or the DS lite. The reason these fakes are so bad is because mostly the hardware is flawed and the software is not regularly updated to support the latest games. I would recommend to buy a flashcard such as the acekard 2i or supercard DS 2 which both work well with the DSi xl and they both have regular software updates :)
