BIK Salary Journal

Hi , Does anyone know if you account for BIK when entering your gross salary in your nominal journal? or do you minus BIK from the gross and net pay? Exam in the morning and this is wrecking my head!!! please help!

I always take the BIK amount from the gross sals on the debit side of the journal. Maybe I'm wrong. Could the actual BIK amont be entered as a liability on the credit side? How did you get on? Did you find the answer?
