    I am constantly coming arcoss articals about 'hackers', can the media get there facts correct on the subject.

    A 'hacker';

    Hacker-A general term that has historically been used to describe a computer programming expert. More recently, this term is often used in a negative way to describe an individual that attempts to gain unauthorized access to network resources with malicious intent.

    The correct, term that should be used on the subject of exploting services,

    A 'cracker';

    A more accurate term to describe someone who tries to gain unauthorized access to network resources with malicious intent

    Totally agree, it's wireless in the sense that it uses RF as the medium. The wired connection is 100% still there, in the form of DSL, the hint is in the name, Digital Subscriber Line.

    Anyone got any other ones?

    You're pissing against the wind. Most journalists are too stupid to get something as basic as geography* right. Don't go confusing them with technology.

    * The Dublin evening rag regularly refers to incidents in Clontarf as having happened in Howth. Because it happened on the Howth Rd, it must be Howth..right?

    Or, God forbid, facts.

    Here's mine ..... adverts or whatever that suggest you 'log on to' www. whatever. com . You'd only be 'logging on' if you had some kind of account with them. Otherwise you'd just be visiting.
