    Who the fu<k in the right mind would change statements from having debits/credits in separate columns to sticking them both into one column with +/- beside them. Its a fu<king joke. Joke of a bank to be fair. Rant over

    Doesn't sound like a bad idea to me. I imagine + and - make a lot more sense to your average punter than debit and credit.

    ur missing the point = they could leave the + and - in if they want. its the single column approach that is the real killer for when ur looking through bank statements for something. if ur looking through hundreds of statements and its separated into 2 columns, the workload has been halfed already.

    I think it's PTSB that does this aswell. Can be tricky tbh. Trying to correct an unreconciled bank can be a major headache, where it turns out to be something as simple as a client posting a debit as a credit and vice versa.
