Im not just saying this cause people who go down this route arent going to come to me but its not the easiest thing in the world to do. But with patience most people who are a good with their hands should be able to do it no problem. I normally get opened and closed in less than an hour, but the first time you do it its could easily take you 3-4. If your getting frustrated stop and come back to it later.

There is soldering required but its very easy soldering but just take note that you will need a soldering iron.

And without going into too much detail on how you do it (it is described well on youtube) when you are putting on the back case of the DS be careful that the plastic tab and the power switch are lining up! break that and its not such an easy fix

I would suggest people watch these first before attempting it. It was my first time doing it and it did take 3 hours to do.
