Unique Self Employed Tax Question

    Hi Guys,

But of an odd situation here. Here's the prelude to the problem:

In June of 2009, I registered as self-employed. Just over a month later I un-registered as self employed as I discovered it wasn't for me and am as such unemployed. Not on dole or job seekers as I'm not entitled to it (just out of school).

I thought that because I was only registered for a month my name would be stricken off the list. But anyway, today I recieved a form for filing my taxes.

Now, I earned VERY little. Less than 100 per week in that period. Do I have to file for tax? What do I do? I think if you earn less than 9,000 you don't have to pay tax. Should I file anyway?

Clearly the revenue want me to file for tax. Will I have to prove my income to them etc...??

    Help please! :(

    Thanks,
    Dean.

You can call self assessment and have yourself removed. They issue automatically when you are on the system
