Co2 GBB PT99 range problems

    Hi guys,

    The pistol named above is only shooting about 30' before the bbs drop compared to about 90-100' for my 1911 (also CO2). It used to have a performance similar to the 1911 so what has happened? I notice that I can feel CO2 on my face when firing the PT99, but not with the 1911 so I presume I am losing gas which is not being directed into propelling the bb but is this loss likely to be from the magazine or the pistol itself?

    Are you firing on full-auto?

    If so fire in bursts. That's all I can suggest.

    No, firing semi-auto, well spaced single shots.

    the piston head could have been damaged or shrank away from the sides of the cylinder or could have even come off ,this would explain the air on your face as it would vent out by the hammer.first try spraying oil into the back of the piston and see if that improves things if not take off the slide and remove the screw at the hammer end pop out the 2 springs pull the plate up to get into the piston and see if the piston head is damaged or off ,let me know how u get on
