    Hi :)

Apologies if this isn't the right forum to post this in but seeing as its a general problem relating to referencing, I thought it would be best here.

As you can probably tell by the anti-social time that I'm posting this, am after staying up to finish off an essay thats due tomorrow and I've just gotten around to referencing it and writing a bibliography and have realised that someone has torn the first page inside the front cover out of a library book that I have referenced several times in my essay! :(

The page thats been torn out is the page containing the year it was published and all the other details like that I need to include in the bibliography. Am a bit worried that if I leave it out, I will be penalised for not referencing properly...:(From what I've heard plagarising doesn't tend to go down too well...:P

If anyone knows a way I could find out this information online could you let me know? Have tried Googling it but haven't had any luck...I was thinking maybe the ISBN number might help in some way?!

Anyway, any help would be appreciated! :D Thanks a mill!

I would imagine this is easy enough to find, tbh.

What's the title/author of the book? The book *definitely* doesn't come up in web searches?

Either way, it'll be in the library database. It should have some sort of barcode or other identifier you can use to find it in the library online catalogue. Or just use the author and book name. You don't say what library, but most have the year of publication in the catalogue.

If even this fails - and it really shouldn't - just go to the library and ask them - they'll have the information.
