    Hi,

I'm thinking of changing from Vodafone to O2 (Bill-pay in both cases) and I am wondering do I have to contact Vodafone with 30-days notice of my intention to port? My contract ended years ago (actually got it with Eircell, never had any reason to change it :P).

    thanks,
    daywalker

Once you have no outstanding balance they should release your number and issue a final bill. If you have upgraded with Vodafone in the past 12 months you may receive penalty fees. (monthly commitment x remaining months of the contract)
