3 Broadband.

    Right, so got 3 broadband the other week and it wouldnt wprk on my home computer which has Windows XP and Google Chrome is the browser. Tried it out on my brothers laptop, which is Vista and has Explorer 8 and works perfectly. It wouldnt work on Google Chrome on his laptop so I downloaded Explorer 8 to my home computer but it still wont work on it.

    Is there anything I can do or get so that this will work?

    Any help appriciated.

    The browser will be largely irrelevant, unless there's something wrong with it. Assuming that's installed properly and works, there shouldn't be an issue.

    What modem is it?

    id recommend firefox mate - faster and more efficient plus IE tends to problematic than firefox with this particular modem which I have :P Good little modems arent they :D
    Whats the version of Service Pack installed on your XP machine?

    In what way does the modem not work?

    The browser would have no connection to the modem working or not working. I found this Huawei E5830 quite fussy under Windows 7, particularly if you installed the modem plugged into one USB port, then moved it to another.

    If you do not have Autostart enabled on your drives, the virtual drive on the modem that contains the drivers, will not start and install itself.

    Thanks warlikedave, downloaded Firefox and its working perfectly now, still not working on IE or Google Chrome, but problem solved anyway..

    nay problem mate - 3 have an awful habit of selling modems with crappy dashboard software
    ive a question for anyoe who knows mobile partner well - how do i stop it from automatically loading the three propoganda page everytime i connect?

    I've only seen that with the 'Mifi' to be honest. I own 2 other modems by Three and it is the only one that does that.. I'd like to know the answer too.
