I dunno about the average amount but I know my sis does it for about a €5 an hour. although generally if she's had a late on they'll pay a bit more. Depends who you're babysitting for i suppose?

The average is 10 euro and hour! I don't think so.

The average used to be €10 an hour. Personally i think €5 an hour is fair but of course if the parents are late a few extra bob wouldn't go astray..
In my area there are women in there twenties willing to babysit for €20 a night.. 4 hours plus..

€10 is too much, but €5 is definitely too little. In between, between €6.50 and €8, especially if you're there very late.

min wage is 7.65 hr. for that you could be on a factory production line, which in the likes of a meat factory you would work hard and fast for it. 5 euro for babysitting is more than enough

6 euro is enough for babysitting, however there's a difference to what some parent's mean when they say babysitting. If you're just watching the kids, playing with them, getting food for them, maybe going out if it's the daytime, watching movies if it's the nighttime, then 5-7 euro would be fair.

If there's a baby involved, you know, changing nappies, constant attention, making up bottles, putting down for naps, cleaning and stuff like that, I'd say you should expect 7-10 euro.

Back when I babysat, I was shocked by the amounts some parents pay. In one situation I was extremely underpaid and in another I was (in my opinion) being overpaid. I think you know yourself what's fair.

I'm 18, I babysit 3 children in one family, 2 in another and 1 in another and all 3 families pay me €11 an hour.

I've been babysitting for about 4 years and I've never been paid less than €8/hour. €10 is the average I get.
