Just lettting ya'll know that due to the massive influx of requests for PAYE Anytime pin numbers the usual 5-10 working days is now out the window.

Have heard cases of people receiving them a month and a half after the request date. Just in case people were applying in an effort to speed up their claims for college grants etc.

It's still is the fastest method at present until the backlog of post is completed but with work to rule/mass retirement in place im just keeping ya'll in the loop.

    Your friendly neighbourhood spidertaxman.

Appreciated, applied a long time ago, got an email saying "I couldn't contact you by phone" which is nonsense, tried to call back and no luck, wait it out.

Wouldn't say its nonsense, we're not supposed to ring the taxpayer where it can be done by post/email. Work to Rule my friend.

I've been waiting for my revenue pin since last September.... Tried to apply again 5 weeks ago, and still nothing (was told that after I got married, I had to request a new pin since my status had changed, but the online help is a little useless)...

Any idea what's going on? I know they may go slow due to all the public sector stuff, but THAT slow?

I applied for mine about a month ago, and got it a week later.

You don't need a new one once you get married.

Definately should not take that long. Maybe ring the helpline, and they'll be able to see what may be preventing the issuing. (If your reg. details aren't the very same as those held on Revenue records, your reg will fail. If the operator cannot help you, ask to be referred to the Anytime Admin for assistance.

    cheers, I'll try that!

I actually have it in writing - because my status changed (and no longer matched the records held by social welfare (???), I could not log on and had to request a new pin.

It's all a bit odd...I'll give them a shout (just really didnt want to, since they were restricting services anyway, and my matter is not that urgent ;-))

Hi, I have been using ROS for some time now and have no issues. This morning, however, I received a phone call from Revenue , telling me that I am not entitled to a Medical tax rebate as I am receiving "Contributory Old Age Pension" and working. I have received my rebate in 2007 &2008. My average annual medical bills are €2,000.00. Is this right
