    Hi guys

I have the rifle (savage 22 thumbhole), scope (BSA 4 - 16), mod (LEI). Now for rabbit shooting, what bipod do you recommend? I am assuming a Harris, question is how tall? And swiveling of course.

    cheers

I like the 9-13" for field work. on flat ground, 9" is perfect, but on any slope, I can't maintain eye relief and keep the rifle in my shoulder, so the 13" is perfect for that. Also, don't worry about the swivel too much. Frankly, it's a pain in the hole, and I have one.

agree with the length but i think a swivell is a must unless its for the range. out in the field the rifle needs to be level imo

Have only used the the swivel for a few weeks and hated it, sold it to a friend who also hates it, i found that i can hold the fixed bi-pod much steadier.
Show us your rifle when you get a chance please.

I put a BPL-micro on my Harris 9-13 swivel, it is tiny but very effective.
T-nuts do them for less than 10 USD

You most likely didnt like the swivel harris because it was too loose as in floping from one side to the other but you can tighten up the nut on the back of them very easily, most of the new harris bipod's come from the factory loose for some reason i had to do it with the one on my marlin hmr and on my tikka .223.
The non swivel is a pain in the arse because on a hillside the crosshair will be sideways.

with shooting from prone i have often wondered about grass - how do people see this? doesn't one end up shooting _through- the grass with a 9 - 13" ?

I use the 13-27 @13 for prone shooting and find it fits me well enough.

I have the T-nut swivel adapter to tighten up the harris bi-pod locknut it's the bees knees for that. Only $7
