When can i start to cut the grass?

Can anybody tell me when it's okay to start cutting grass? I don't wanna look like a bigger eegit than I am in front of the neighbours. I just have a fairly enclosed Midterrace garden and i'm keen to get it trimmed.

Depends where you are located but if your local temperature is averaging above 6 degrees, grass begins to grow. Cut then.

If not, its best to keep off frozen or wet lawns because you will cause long term damage.
