Hi I'm on the 3 day week X's & O's and I receive a cheque in the post every week.

I'm about to move to another address but I'm staying in the same area.

What is the procedure for change of address?
Do I just go in with a bank statement and say I've moved?
Can i just ring them up with my new details?
Do I have to be means tested again?
    How long will it take?

If anybody has any experience please fill me in.

    Thanks :)

    Change of address

When a claimant notifies the Local Social Welfare Office of a change of address, s/he must provide proof of the new address.

Local Office policy will determine whether a means review is to be carried out due to change in circumstances.

Hi Jesus, I'm in the same situation as yourself, moving while on JSA.

Went to inform social today, all they wanted was proof of new address I used my contract. That was it, no means test or anything.

    Effective immediately. Stress free!!
