Alternative careers for politicians

The increasing prominence given to Dan Boyle's tweets - (the Irish Independent devoted an editorial to them :)
    http://www.independent.ie/opinion/editorial/greens-and-the-tweeter-teaser-2088137.html
suggest that perhaps Mr Boyle may have found an alternative career to his faltering political one. The role of tweeter gossip columnist seems one that he might excel at and he could specialise in green party trivia and rumours.
He is of not course the first politician to find alternative careers. Ivan Yates departed politics for the more lucrative career as bookmaker and is now carving out a career in the media.

Michael McDowell has gone back to the more lucrative career in law.

Bertie Ahern has made his first tentative efforts at following in his daughter's steps as a fiction writer by penning his own book, before moving on to become President of Ireland, or maybe Lord Mayor of Dublin or .....
Garret Fitzgerald has found lecturing us on how to run an economy is much more fun than actually running one.

Mary White thinks her career as a chocolate maker makes her an ideal condidate as a ' Sugar and spice and all things nice President.

So what alternative career would you like to see your favourite politician pursue ?

Surely if they're "your favourite politician", you'd want them to stay a politician ?

Pat Rabbite : stay a politician
Richard Bruton : stay a politician
Eamonn Gilmore : stay a politician

Most of the rest of 'em I couldn't really care less what alternative job they have as long as they've no access to my life or my pockets.

I think s/he probably meant favourite politician, as in 'favourite' politician ;)

I will idea for my least favourite politicans which would be the entire ff party, former pd harney and what used to be affectionately called the greens, now ff lite.

Landmine detectors in biffo's favourite location, Angola.

They would get to perform at least one useful service at least once in their lives.

I am not allowed discuss …
