Am fed up with my blond highlighted shoulder length hair. Any one know anywhere one can go to get a consultation about colour and cut? Someone really good!

I've been thinking about going dark for a while now but lack conviction. I'd really like to find someone trendy, funky and knowledgeable to consult.

I went from blond to dark a while ago and House of Colour on Abbey Street were brilliant, think the girls name was Aoife. Even though they stripped out the old colour my hair was in great condition afterwards.

I agree with House of Colour on Abbey Street, used to go there a couple of years ago and found the service great, found the stylists' attitudes a bit hit and miss though. Toni + Guy off Grafton Street is another place that I used to frequent.
I've since started going to Khaki in Tallaght, a good few of the girls in my office go there now. I get my colour and cut done there and love it! :D.

    Hi

I had my hair cut in Khaki before Christmas and while the staff were very nice, I will be growing out a lot of very short layers for a long time yet and will not be returning. However I did not have any colour done there and they do run a lot of offers. If you are looking for 'funky' not sure if this would be the place.

I would highly recommend Amy, the head colourist in Brown Sugar Blackrock or one of the senior people in Brown Sugar in the city centre. BUT, they are very expensive, although Amy definitely does funky if that's what you want. Wins alot of awards I think. Also she is very quick, helps if you have thick hair like me!!

I've also discovered Hair Perceptions in Goatstown recently,Eddie and Wendy are really good and used to work in Dylan Bradshaw (if that helps)..again not a cheap hairdressers.

Hope that helps-you don't mention where you're based.

My husband bought me a voucher for Khaki at Christmas, I went in for a cut around valentine's week and left feeling very happy with myself. The cut sits perfectly for me, delighted with it - as already mentioned, staff were very nice too. The salon itself is lovely aswell

Will be going back to get my colour done in a few weeks.

I also like Hessions in Drumcondra. I used to go there regularly but its been about a year now since I was there - I was always very happy with my cut\colour, I did feel a little rushed out the door at times though.
