Saab 93 making quiet hissing noise

    Hi,
    I have a 2002 Saab 93.
I've noticed that the car makes a quiet hissing noise sometimes (going on for months). If I touch the brake pedal (very slightly, doesn't slow the car 1%) that the hiss is gone.

It's just a hissing as far as I know, doesn't seem to have any other effect.

Just wondering if anyone has any idea what it could be and do I need to do anything about it?
    Cheers,
    Pa.

Is the noise only there while the car's moving? Does it vary with speed? Does it disappear when you dip the clutch?

There's a vacume pipe that runs into the back of the master cylinder and is known to corrode, this will cause the noise you're talking about. Have you noticed the brake pedal getting any harder and the brakes being a bit less responsive?
