Sorry if this is in the wrong area, feel free to move.

In work some clients and users have a ''hard on'' for Apple devices. We are mainly a Windows PC environment but the users have got their way and Macs have been ordered.

Our helpdesk team need a crash course on diagnosis/repair/parts etc. Some sort of Mac A+ if their is one.
Im aware of some online courses but would much prefer hands on training in a lab enviroment.

Anyone know of any companys/training people offering such services?

Have they any reason they are charging nearly 100 euro per hour for the session?

Have they any qualification to give this tut?

sometimes years of experience is enough. You have it right though, talk to an Apple service provider they can all help you to achieve what you need. this is why apple refers to them as Value Added Resellers. They are not box shifters.

I have never heard of it as I doubt apple provides it to people not strictly working for Apple.

Not complaining but experience is not worth paying that high price.

    Dancor,

if you want official training then the only company to offer it is www.amsys.co.uk occasionally a reseller over here may run a course unlikely to be too relevant though. You're going to need a tailored course so to be honest, forming a relationship with a reseller may be your best alternative. Long term this will work out better for you too. if the macs are ordered from apple direct then of course the reseller will charge you for training we have to make money. however if they are coming from a reseller ask them if they'll give your tech team a crash course for a discount price. I know alot of the resellers around and there are only a couple who would be able to offer this kind of service.
