I have read elsehwere that polystyrene compormises ectrical insulation. Do the rigid board insulations have the same effect.

I ask as I am putting insulation into a pitched roof in a dormer and there are a few cables running up behind the insulation boards in the air gap (ie between the breather felt and the insulation). It is hard to put a pvc conduit on wire that is not in a stariaght line!

Fair dues - you are running the cables in the right place . Very important not to sandwich them between and insulation as they can overheat .

You don't need to conduit them when using this type of insulation .

Use an intumescent sealer where they penetrate the boards
