Pictures of the old Cattle Mart anyone?

Hi folks,

I was wondering does anyone have any pics of the old cattle mart in Carlow, where the Fairgreen is now.

Nope the Cattle Market, the Fairgreen Shopping Centre is there now in its place. The new cattle market is out the Killeshin Road now but I was looking for a picture of the old one. Behind New Oak Estate.

We always refered to that as the potato mart

The potato market is where the old Bank of Ireland used to be or where the fountain is now in Haddens car park and then you have the Hay Market down at the Town hall. Cattle Market was always known as the cattle market. They use to sell cattle in it up until a few years ago. Don't know how it would be called the Potato market

He means the cattle mart where new oak soccer pitch used to be, where the cinema and fairgreen is now.

Potato market is where finnegans and the bank of ireland used to be, at bruces and the road house

Little book shop in beside superquinn is selling old prints of places around carlow in 10x8 and 12x10 format. May be worth a look
