    Hi,

    I have just acquired 4no BSA Martini's, and all four are for sale. I have the following;

    1 x BSA Martini International ISU.
    1 x BSA Martini International MK 4.
    2 x BSA Martini International 12/15.

    All four are in the £75 - £100 price range and would make an ideal rifle for starting out at prone or for bench-rest shooting.

    If you have any queries or are interested in more information just drop me a note.

    :cool:

    I always wanted a bsa martini ever since i seen one in a dealers years ago , he actually had 3 or 4 but for some reason wouldn't sell me one , i got mine only a short time ago after a search , it was the only one i could find , but i believe the tackle shop in rahan has a few in stock now.amazingly these rifles are 10 a penny in the uk and a guy called mac tilton of mt guns in nevada does tours in the uk buying these unwanted rifles up and selling them in the states for much inflated prices $500-$1000 +.

    The first time i shot the rifle in the club i was all over the target and i suppose typically i blamed the rifle , later on i bought a selection of good target ammo and i got used to the aperture sights and have no problems getting groups less than 2 inches at 50 yards , doesn't sound brilliant but thats with open sights and my not brilliant eye sight.

    Bsa seem to have developed these rifles up to a point with the mk 3 with its floating barrel and then went backwards from then on with the isu and mk5 as the fore end was screwed directly back onto the underside of the barrel via a aluminium hangar/accessory rail. The materials and workmanship seem to be top class in the internationals and i read that it was common practise in the 60's to take a barrel off an international and fit it to an anschutz !

    Can I mount a scope eg Weaver T36 on this BSA or do I have to have it "modified" first if I want to use it for benchrest shooting ?

    Hey Bunny!

    There are partial rails on the BSA, I think 3 sections - two around the receiver area, and another further down the barrel. I think you would be able to mount a scope easily enough. rowa will know for sure - I'll have a quick look tmrrow if you want!
