Passat/ Golf Alloys on a Caddy - any restrictions?

I have a 2007 caddy and would like ot put alloys on it. I know there is such a thing as a van tyre and I presume it's for weight purposes but I was thinking about the are there similar restrictins on alloys? Could I take 15/16" alloys from a caddy or golf and put them on my caddy? I was thinking about second hand set of 10…
