From the newsletter: Teachers wishing to re-register are required to undergo the application process which includes the submission of transcripts and the Garda vetting process. The latter may take up to twelve weeks. Its ridiculous having to submit all your transcripts again, the only reason I can see is to scare people…

Firstly I don't like them, I think they are useless etc etc.
However, we are supposed to be members and until our unions fight their battle, then we are supposed to be joined up. I don't see how its bully boy tactics as they can't be constantly having people hoping in and out. If you are already registered, then you just renew your membership easily on the website?
