Sorry for interrupting all these proper topics lads, but where the **** can you find a shop in Dublin with a decent selection of house / techno / electro cds in Dublin these days?

Spent an hour and a half walking all over Dublin today to various shops recommended to me, ended up buying an album I wasn't looking for in HMV which seemed to have best yet mostly mainstream filled selection. Looking for shops that actually have a good proper selection. Anywhere like that place that used to be open on Liffey street, think it was called Abbey records?

this may not help, as I'm not sure it's still open(haven't been in town in a while), but there used to be a little record shop in George's St Arcade that was good

City Discs in Temple Bar and Tower Records are the only two I would buy in Dublin these days.

Do people actually still walk the streets looking for cd's??? I went digital nearly 10 years ago and have bought very few since them, and I'd rip them straight away anyway...

Yes I walk the streets and lurk around dark alleys in search of cd's and vinyl!

Can't beat the physical element of CD's and vinyl, love it.... I especially love going to larger music stores around Europe with decent 2nd hand sections and digging around for a couple of hours for some gems.
