    obviously the ordinary sparkie will still need a company with the nsai accreditation to do the fire alarm design/commissioning

    no harm to do the course anyway

    I agree that simply doing a 1 day course would not entitle someone to certify a fire alarm system. However for many electricians it would be enough to commission and design systems up to a certain size. Although some fire alarms can be very complex many are quite straight forward.

    I have just noticed that the course is quite expensive!
