It's always a well organised race and a decent flat route as well, so well worth going along to. It starts close to the Heritage Hotel (where the registration is) and heads out past O'Moore Park, left down the Meelick Road and then left again to finish at Fitzpatrick's Tyres.

I wont be able to run it this year but I'll definitely be out to watch and support.

There is not much else going on in the town on wednesday so there should be a very decent turn out hopefully. So if you have nothing else to do please come along and participate if you are able, it should be a great race.

i won't be doing it either, i have a suspected stress fracture in my left leg so no running for a while. But good luck to everyone involved.

Well done to anyone who ran in this. A great day had by all I think. 180 participants and very well organised in my opinion.

+1 for the excellent organisation. Set off bang on 11am and was very well marshalled the whole way round. Hot showers, tea and sandwiches afterwards and all for €10. couldn't ask for more.

You can find it at http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/pages/Portlaoise-athletic-club/277359706021

I think the easiest way to get to it is to log into Facebook first, and then copy and paste the link above into the browser bar.
