Nice idea for a forum but to help it run smooth it would be of immense benefit to those looking for information/advice/assistance if the post the make, model, engine type, year, mileage, etc of the car in question.

There is no point posting "My VW Golf won't do this or that" unless we know as much as possible about the vehicle in question. It's better to post "My VW Golf, 1.9TDI, 2001, with 30,000 miles......."

You get my drift and sorry if this request is mentioned elsewhere.

I could just delete you........ :pac:

I don't mind this point being emphasised at all. The more details given about a car ensures a more accurate answer

    My car won't start halp!
It's a red car and I've had it since Christmas, what could be wrong?

The scary thing is that this happens more often than not^^^^probably at least once a week in my experience.

Customer :I need xxx for my car.

    Me :What car is it??

Customer : Its a red one?

Me:What model is it,what make or year:

    Customer : I dont know--its red.

Me : do you know the reg of it?

    Customer : Havent a clue.

And these people are allowed to be in charge of a potentially lethal weapon.

I heard the following at a scrapyard....

Customer "I'm looking for an engine for an Astra"

    Scrapyard Guy "What type?"

    Customer "White"

Scrapyard Guy "Ah Gee... What type of Astra?, what engine size?, what year?"

    Customer "A White one"

Scrapyard Guy "Ah for heavens sake, who's next!"
