    Hi
My buddy is selling a Canon 350D DSLR with a 18-35mm and a 50mm lens and I was thinking of buying it off him.
We are arguing over the price! What would be a decent price for such a camera.
The camera is in perfect working order and condition.

    I's say somewhere around 250€
if the lens is a kit lens 18-55mm?

    Indeed yes I meant 18-55mm
Is this model Canon a good DLSR for a beginner like myself?
I don't really have the €500+ it would cost to buy a new one

a friend of mine got into photography recently and i gave her my old 350d and a 50mm lense to get started with.

its a grand camera for starting on. i only changed up because the screen is so poor and its a little bit finicky for using fully manual.

have a look on ebay or whatever to get a price ?? i would have thought 250 is a bit steep. maybe 100 euro for the camera ??? and possibly 20 or 30 for the 50mm lense ?? under 150 anyway i'd reckon for the lot.

I bought one before Christmas with the kit lense, camera bag and monopod for €180. It was worth it. The lucky owner is in love with that camera.

If you are getting camera , 18-55 kit lens and also a 50mm f1.8 lens I would say 250 euro is a reasonable price. If you like it buy it.

    a new 50mm 1.8 would cost about 100.

sounds good to me providing everything is good and clean

Are they a good camera though?
I have a Sony Digital camera but want to take a step up,so would this model camera be good enough? after doing some research I see they stopped making these around 2006,would I be better of going for new technology with maybe a lesser brand name?

Yeah, it's a good camera for what you're after. You also have the knowledge of how it's been treated as you know the owner.

So it will do everything I need it to do to get me started?
He said he will take €200 for it.
