Myself and my husband are looking for info on nice 4 star hotels at a good price for the month of June. We'd like it walking distance to other pubs and attractions if possible.

Stayed here for a week. It's very nice, reasonable and right in the heart of it, about half way down Las Ramblas.

Have a look on their website and then search the usual sites for best deals.

    tripadvisor.com is good.

Great spot for a break (if you haven't been before).

No, don't stay at the royal ramblas. Not a great area. A little dodge. There are some nice hotels around Placa Catalunya (10 min walk from Las Ramblas) or Eixample district.

I stayed there in January after it being recommended by a friend. Nice rooms, friendly staff and good location on the Plaza de Catalunya end of Ramblas.

By ten minute walk do you mean right on the end of and therefore in fact a 30 second walk?!

But, anyway, always found the area fine myself. Been in Barcelona twice, stayed there once.

I've stayed in the Ciutat Vella, only a couple of minutes walk from La Rambla. Lovely hotel, friendly and helpful staff, fantastic location. They even have unlimited free bottled water in the reception area. Or they did when we were there anyway. The colour scheme is a little brash (white and red) but that didn't bother me. The one thing I would mark them down for is the breakfast. It wasn't great, and you'd be better off going to a cafe or something instead.

Not sure if it's 4 star, but it's my recommendation anyway.

:-) yes. It is 30 sec from placa to the las ramblas! I think I meant from Eixample to the Las Ramblas.

If you don't want to spend too much check out the Caledonia Hotel. Absolutely great hotel, I think it's 3 stars. It's 5 mins walk from Ramblas, and 3 mins from Placa de Catalunya. Great quiet hotel.
