Buying first car

    Guys,

I am looking to buy a car, probably 08+, so I can avail of the new tax bands.

I am open to spending up to 15g. Would like a car that has a decent enough spec, etc. Either a hatchback or a saloon.

What car do you recommend that would fit into the above.

What do ya think of the following.

    Thanks,
    Mac

When you say your first car, i presume you mean that you have a license and you want to buy a car? You'll have to be more specific about spec, and i presume it's a diesel you're looking for?

I have a full license and have been driving over 10 years, been using parents cars or company cars up untill now. So should be no problems with insurance, etc.

Sorry, yeah I am looking for a diesel, regarding spec, just want it to be nippy enough on the road, and comfortable inside, any extras would be great. Would like to stay in the A/B tax bands.
The seat above seems to fit the bill ok, I was also looking at the skoda octavia but I hear they depreciate in value very quickly.

The Leon depreciates by as much if not more as an Octavia.

You could also pick up a Focus Zetec TDCi like this within budget, €104 to tax per year:
