The AOVC are running their big classic show again this year in Ballymena on the last Saturday in June,:) I have heard that they are having an autotest demo amongst other attractions, that should be good craic. apparently the entries at the show reached almost 1200 pre '89 vehicles last year that would make it the biggest show of it's type on the island, I was at it and it was brilliant I'll be back again this year I've got my hotel booked for 2 nights going to make a weekend of it,;) the hotel prices are cheaper than in the south:cool:.

Really lots to do at this show.Autojumblers, cars for sale area, dozens of really good trade stands and prices are much cheaper than down hear.
    Don't miss it.

Yes I was at this too and it was a cracker of a show all well laid out so you could see everything. I rang to get the date so I could arrange to be off work and like last year it is the last Saturday in June (26th). The person I spoke to said they have model cars as last year coming plus model planes and helicopters. The MG Car Club I believe are doing an Autotest in the Arena.

Great show I am sure but I wont be going unless they relax their draconian policies on booking a stand.

Basic problem was they wouldnt confirm a stand unless you had 10 bookings and people wouldn't commit to going (travelling very long distances) without a definate stand being available.Catch 22. We got to 7 bookings and would have had half a dozen more if they had bent thier rules at that stage but they wouldn't, even though I and others were travelling up from Cork and elsewhere in the far south.

I have noticed that the Booking Forms for the Free Club Stands, Autojumblers, Traders and those wishing to book a Craft Fair stand are now available from the EVENTS PAGE http://www.aovc.co.uk

I rang the AOVC to enquire about the Entry Forms for actual old vehicle entrants and they explained these will be posted out shortly to all last years entrants and will also appear on the Events Page and in addition can be booked online by Credit Card.

They mentioned the cut off date has moved one year so will be 31st December 1989.
