    I'm getting 60 to 64% and 0 quality on ch41 and between 50 and 60% on ch40 also 0 quality.
No channels found as you'd expect with 0 quality.

It's hardly Wenvoe ?? I'd be truly shocked

theres no lift conditions here either today -pressure is at 1016mb

Edit -well 41 is arfon [I hadn't checked that in ages! quite impressive] ch44 is also around 60%

    But ch 40 at 60 to 64% ??

This is not good news if it's wenvoe as some of it is co channel with preseli right? preseli psb to be precise?

No. Wenvoe high power is only on Ch 41 today. Its cochannel with Arfon PSB muxes but shielded by the mountains from Arfon. Interestingly it shares frequencies with Mount Leinster but there is a complicated change over pattern between now and 2011 and again its shielded by the mountains. The one to watch in lifts is Mendip (you get weak C5 analogue) which is going over later this month. Preseli & Wenvoe overlap so they have no CCI relationships. Wenvoe is belting up and down the Bristol channel today and into Somerset, it may appear in lifts in Ireland. Incidentally Arfon is being received easily in South Down but why bother when you have Winter Hill.

Here's the full frequency table for Welsh transmitters.

You may be getting a few fluke results.

    Nothing there on 40.
    I wonder what it is?

Arfon is belting in but with no quality obviously due to the polarity.

Is CCI an issue with DTT (assuming of course same multiplex from different transmitters) ?

Arfon is belting in but with no quality obviously due to the polarity.

It can't be a UK post DSO station: the original clearance plan was to remove Ch 40 for DTT. Now with the 800Mhz clearance Ch 40 is reinstated for DTT but none of the stations use that in Wales. Obviously Arfon provides very good results with the right polarisation. How is BP shaping up: the final conversion is a week today. Its quite surprising we haven't had an enthusiast or installer put in a proper system to evaluate the reception: there has been a lot of discussion on this board but not any real attempt with the right kind of gear apart from yourself.

Correction: stand by for a shocker. Mystery possibly solved. It might be the low power CH 40 pre-DSO multiplex from Wenvoe! The reason why this is seen is that the Ch 41 adjacent analogue signal has disappeared this morning to be replaced by Ch 41 BBC Mux A DTT with different protection ratios: adjacent DTT's can be received. This is what you may be seeing. If there's a lift and you see BBC Wales DTT on Ch 41 with H polarisation this is Wenvoe. CH 40 DTT ex Wenvoe disappears on the 31st. Well worth seeing if marclt is receiving Wenvoe now in SW Wales: I would not be surprised. Keep an eye on this

    Interesting.

I'm told the group A has arrived for Blaenplwyf at my friends house and hopefully will be going up saturday-so I'll know then.
If Blaen doesn't work there ,it should, they will go with arfon.
It has to be done on a saturday so if it's not this weekend ,it will be next.

    I will be taking pics.
I'll post pics of my own presely set up aswell in this thread.

Good. This Saturday would be the perfect time to line up as its the final analogue weekend and they can peak on the analogue.

    Will be interesting.

When Preseli switched to digital last September, Wenvoe analogue returned on the frequencies that had been used for the low power Pre DSO DTT services.

Although I haven't tried it yet, I would probably be able to get Wenvoe with no problems at all if I swung the aerial around.

I got Mullaghanish analogue and digital last week - pretty much due west from me, great reception on a lift.
