Merlin - offering fair prices?

I'm wondering if this route is worth it?

I've a car to sell and without having to go round Merlin myself just wanted to know if anyone on here has any idea if they offer you a fair price, or is it a motoring 'pawn shop', for stuck for cash moments?

Seems like a hassle free way to dispose of motor if they're fair.

    Thanks in advance.

Considering they have to buy your car, service it, possibly repair/tidy it up, valet it and make a profit on it while still selling it at retail price, you can image what they are going to offer you for it.

    A last resort imo.

Are you talking about Merlin Motor City or Merlin Car Auctions?

    Merlin Car auctions.

The car is spotless inside and out as they say, and just got serviced last week. Just wondering if anyone had used 'em.

Well seeing as they sell it through the auction, you can be certain to get less than auction price from them. This is without doubt the worst way to sell a car. Why not run it through the auction yourself for the small fee. set a reasonable reserve & see what happens.

    Good plan. Thanks.
