They are cutting something like 600 million by removing a heap of shows and web advertising spending. I never listened to the station is it good? My condolences to you and yours. D x

Not being Horrible, Brain Rotting, Blood curdling, Common Denominator Krap is probably it's most famous feature !

Well sadly the station is the lowest common denominator and that is why it is getting the aul chop.

I'll miss this. They did some nice Jonny Greenwood/Radiohead features over the years. For that alone I'll miss it.

i'm fairly sure you need to know what a lowest common denominator is even for foundation. If not, then it's no wonder this country is in the state it's in.:p

i blame george lamb and that bint that hired him. she was forced to resign over the whole ross/brand thing. when she took over the running of the station (and radio 2), it was great. then she went and hired a load of airheads from one agency and it went downhill. it was getting a lot better recently though, after george lame was given the very early slot on a saturday, and lauren laverne took over his slot.
anyone that doesn't listen to it should google adam and joe podcasts. they were brilliant on 6 music.

What it's really about. The Tory party have made a secret promise to Rupert Murdoch to hack up the BBC, so he can increase his market share.

There's a much longer story. If Rupert Murdoch can't get a slice of the BBC, there's a good chance he could be bankrupt next year.

So the BBC have been throwing a few lambs to the Wolf, thinking he'll have lost his appetite by the time he gets to the flock.

If those boys get their way it'll be more than 6 Music.

Uh... shame on you for thinking baseless conspiracy theories need 'proof'.
