How long to receive Supplementary Welfare?

The office is open at the sensible and convenient hours of 10-11.30  I went in today and was told I'd need a letter/email from my parents to say I was out of the country because I was staying with them for 2 weeks in Jan. What the point of this is I don't know, as anyone can fake a letter or email, but the main point is that thanks to their minuscule opening hours this means I've to go back tomorrow with the email.

Can someone tell me how long it usually takes to receive the Supp? Is there any chance of getting money that day? I'm pretty desperate now tbh

It should be very quick. Anywhere between one day and five, once the CWO has all that he/she needs.
