Does anyone have any experience with the development coordination disorder service at Enable Ireland. My daughter was evaluated after being on a waiting list for over 2 years and then told she didn't meet the criteria for admission to the program. After being on the waiting list we were called in for a screening by an OT who did a Movement Assessment Battery test over a 50 minute period. After the test we were told they only take kids who fall into the bottom 5th percentile of this test. This criteria seems rather arbitrary to me and I am wondering if anyone else has had this experience and what they have done. I think my child would benefit from this service and am wondering whether I should fight this. Thanks.
