We've just moved to a new house. Know absolutely no one around the area.
Looking out into the back field this morning there is over 20 pigeons pecking away, and 3 magpies further up. I cant even throw out the larson trap. Where i last lived i could step out the door and had fields and fields of permissions. Now im imprisoned in a house with Ireland AM to pass the time. I may get the walking boots (am between cars atm:rolleyes:) on and meet a few farmers. Now i know what a animal trapped in the zoo feels like:P

Throw a bit of feed around your back garden & lure em in - then get a sling shot out the top window :D:D:D
You'll get imaginative with the boredom.

I wouldnt even put the larsen trap out as id be afraid the farmer wouldnt be too happy. May chat him first. And cant put in the garden as people driving by would see it.
But yeah, when and if i do get permission i reckon il do quite well with it :)

Mine is in my garden in a housing estate Dusty, all the neighbors were delighted to get rid of the magpies had them plagued and lots of small birds around now.

God, i would have thought housing estates would have brought the most interest from neighbours. Your lucky you've no antis for neighbours. You'd be looking for call birds reguarly :)

Had one auld biddy who hated my guts but i made her realize what damage they were doing, she even use to pop over to see the magpies had food and water if i went away.

can some1 tell me what exactly is a larsen trap, i,ve seen a pic of them on here but not sure how they work, or what do u do with them when you have the bird traped, what can they be used for, (type of bird), will they work on pigeon, have while bother with them nesting in a shed of mine and the mess they leave is stand clear, where do you find a call bird or how do you trap the first bird
