This has probably been asked a hundred times.

    But!

If I get paid fortnightly, should I be entitled to double the weekly tax credit?

In other words, if I’m be paid XX weekly and receive €100 in tax credits should I not receive €200 in tax credits if I been paid twice that amount fortnightly?

Simple answer, yes. There's a few caveats, but that's basically how it works. If you feel you're overpaying your tax, contact payroll to start with and ask them to review it. If it was happening last year (up to Dec 31), ring Revenue and ask for a P21 - it's a balancing statement, and they'll send you a refund if you've over paid.
