I have an AGM 416. I fitted a tight-bore barrel and have also stuck in a guarder hop up rubber, but I haven’t really noticed much of a change in performance over the stock parts.

In fact the performance seems to have gotten slightly worst! When I fire a burst, the BB’s will spread out (similar to a shot gun spread) after maybe 10m.

    Has anyone got a solution???

I dont really have a solution Jonny - just my own experience...

I stuck in a madbull tightbore barrel and madbull hop-up rubber into a KA M16A2 last week. It was only shooting about 265 prior to change.
Chrono'd it after the changeover and it was 295-305 avg. (.2g G&G's)
Used it fir the first time at HRTA last Sunday and to start with the gun seemed all over the place - innaccurate and the bb's comming out at different velocities at first. Put about 4 or 5 midcaps through it and it just got better and better. I'd say it just needs a bit of time to bed-in ok and get shot of the excess silicone etc.
Stopped using it as the stock became loose (since found out the stocktube was broken within the stock :() but it was performing great after a few games. Perhaps stick at it before you go opening it just yet.

Chrono's it again last night and it was still hitting the 300 mark.:)
Maybe stick a few hundred rounds through it to see if it improves...
    A

edit - forgot to add - changed the nozzle too for a CA M16A2 one.;)

+1, New rubbers can do that.

Also, you'll want to make sure to use good bbs in a TBB:)

Have either of you's tried some teflon tape on the rubber gives a better seal on the hop up could also replace the nub with a slightly firmer one

If your noticing problems from as little as 10meters i'd say its more than likely the hopup rubber being seated wrong and is applying side or uneven spin on the BB, Do defenders theory of running some through it and see if it gets any better, if not, take it down again and be sure everything goes on nice and straight and look down the barrel while you turn the adjustment wheel to see if its giving the desired effect.,:)

Thanks for the replies lads, I have put 6 h/caps through it and its still no better. Have also checked that everything is lined up right which it is except when I look down the barrel from the hop up end, the nub seems to be slightly raised on one side and I can't seem to correct this!
